Call for Applications: A Summer Program in Philosophy of Science for Underrepresented Groups

Recently the Center for Philosophy of Science released a call for applications for the Pittsburgh Summer Program: A Summer Program in Philosophy of Science for Underrepresented Groups.  This will take place from July 10th to July 14th, 2017.

Applications are due March 1st. Notably, costs concerning housing, meals, and transportation will be covered. A CV, cover letter, and letter of recommendation from a faculty member are required for the application.

Thanks to our APT contributor Celso Neto for bringing this to my attention. This looks to be a wonderful initiative in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh’s Year of Diversity. The summer program is certainly timely given the current political climate in North America and elsewhere this year. Although the focus of the program is philosophy of science, past course work on the topic is not a prerequisite.
